Technical description for port 750:

The port 750 is used by the Kerberos software and protocol. Kerberos is a standard used to make secure connections between clients and servers. Each client and server connected to the secure network is issued with a Kerberos ticket by the Key Distribution Center. This ticket is used to authenticate each server and/or client trying to connect via the port 750.
The port 750 is used both for TCP and UDP. The TCP connection is used by the Rfile daemon. The UDP connection for the port 750 is used by the Loadav daemon of Kerberos. These are background services used by the version 4 of the Kerberos protocol and all its software implementations. The traffic for the port may flow two-way.
The information using this port is encrypted using DES (Data Encryption Standard), which is also used by the US government. This makes sure that traffic through the port 750 is secure.
The implementations of the Kerberos protocol include Windows NT and KTH-KRB.
