Technical description for port 32768:

Port 32768 was the first Operating System port employed by Red Hat Linux. It is an outbound client connection. It also functions as the listening port opened by the Extended Internet Daemon (xinetd) running on most Unix and Linux systems. Red Hat Linux was discontinued in 2004 to be replaced by Fedora for home use and Red Hat Enterprise Linux for businesses.
The Extended Internet Daemon affords an alternative for inetd and it presents the benefit of improved security capabilities. FileNet TMS is another application that utilizes Port 32768 and it is primarily employed for enterprise computing, such as for Business Process Management and Business Activity Monitoring.
IBM bought FileNet in 2006 but IBM continues to provide support for its business software.
