Technical description for port 2122:

The port 2122 is extensively used to allow remote access from one computer terminal to another in a shared network group for file sharing and transfer. One hardware device that opens port 2122 is Airport Express -- an 802.11n wireless adapter for MAC systems.
The port 2122 will be assigned to one or more IP address set by the device for a machine that will hold all traffic to and from the wireless router.
The syntax for IP assigned using port 2122 is <IP>:<port> (10.0.1.4:2122)
The port 2122 can be assigned with two IP addresses from different machines for file sharing/transfer. MAC users utilize port 2122 to go in and out of a computer through a username and password authentication protocol.
