Technical description for port 2101:

The port 2101 is used by GPS-type application and services to send and receive information from a server. An RTCM-SC104 server sends a message (RTCM-SC104 byte stream) to a dedicated GPS device using a TCP connection.
The port 2101 is set by a RTCM-SC104 server to listen to incoming and outgoing transmission from a GPS device -- usually unencrypted data.
The port 2101 is also used by programmers to transmit RTCM-SC104 byte stream to another system. The server will encrypt message types 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 16 before sending it to another system via port 2101, which will then be received by the other machine through the same access point.
Data transfer rate through port 2101 ranges from 50 to 200 bytes-per-second depending on the message type.
