Port 115 is a simple and secure FTP (File Transfer Protocol) giving streaming sequence of secured sharing. This protocol connects two or more computers to communicate for a simple file transferring protocol such as media or other data files. This port also performs for downloader engines and Web browsers.
The port 115 also detects malicious programs attempting to infect or disrupt the sharing and downloading of files. It uses a datagram protocol to access the system through session, transport, and internet network layer. It is related to port 990, 989, and other ports used for File Transfer Protocol but with a little difference in database.
The port name SFTP also refers to SSH file transfer protocol. It is a network protocol functioning to provide security from unwanted manipulation of the protocol. SSH (secure shell) protocol is a typical content of any file transfer process. It is a draft for the protocol to be aware.
